JLG Forklift Part - In the late 1960's John L. Grove, with his wife Cora embarked on on a cross country journey in their RV. Freshly retired, after spending numerous years working with his brother to manufacture their crane business into an market leader, John had no idea that fateful trip would permit JLG Industries, Inc to emerge. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision materials handling equipment was the end result of a road trip.

While on their journey, John spent time conversing with former business associates whom the Groves stopped to visit along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic occurrence-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were visiting Hoover Dam- John discovered an infinite market for a product that could promptly and safely elevate people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other construction functions.

After returning from their holiday, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and purchased a metal fabricating business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty staff, they fashioned and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates some of the basic design essentials of that original lift into current versions.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a great distance from when Mr. John L. Grove returned from his fatefull cross-country journey and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the business has extended itself into quite a few international markets and continues to cultivate contemporary machinery to guarantee that consumers are able to become safer and more resourceful within their workplace.
